Aurelien Tchouameni is drawing fans from all over Europe, but Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign the Monaco midfielder.

Tchouameni has been key for the Ligue 1 team, despite their difficult start to the season that sees them in the middle of the table.

The youngster has appeared in all but one of Monaco’s league matches this season and his promotion has been rewarded with a call-up to the France squad.

The 21-year-old has established himself as a regular for defending world champions under Didier Deschamps.

Real Madrid have shown great interest in the 21-year-old and are said to be keeping an eye on him, but they are not the only high-level club monitoring the midfielder.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich have also been linked to the French.

But Chelsea are the favorites to secure the signing of Tchouameni next summer, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Tchouameni is currently learning his trade under the protection of his Monaco teammate and former Chelsea and Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.

According to MarkHe is very humble and unassuming and is focused on working hard and improving his game.

The French international’s contract expires in 2024, but Monaco would reportedly be willing to let the star leave at the end of the season, if there is a 50 million euro (£ 43 million) offer.

Thomas Tuchel’s team is ready to fire the competition and are reportedly prepared to spend € 60 million (£ 51 million) for their services, a price higher than the Monaco asking price.
