The 33-year-old, who is expecting her second child with the prime minister, accompanied spouses of world leaders who attended the G20 summit a day before the start of the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow to be hosted by Boris Johnson, 57.

Once again opting for a bold red ensemble, Carrie sported a black facemask at the historic landmark, wearing a £360 red dress from sustainable label Cabbages & Roses earlier this month.

Carrie looked stylish in the red blazer adorned with gold buttons, matched with a floral skirt and low red slingback heels.

She wore her hair in loose waves and appeared in good spirits as she kept her masks on as she made her way to the ancient amphitheater.

Carrie, who shares son Wilfred, 1, was pictured alongside leaders’ husbands as Britain’s Johnson arrived to be welcomed by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi at the G20 summit.

COP26 kicks off on Sunday at Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus (SEC) and welcomes 30,000 delegates, 10,000 police officers and a staggering 200,000 protesters to the 13-day conference.

It is the G20’s first face-to-face summit since Covid struck, and has encountered several complications.

Last week, the Queen announced that she would not be able to attend in person and would seek advice from medical professionals to rest.

In addition, flooding caused major delays for world leaders heading to the summit today – with a train company urging passengers to “not travel” across the border due to disruption after two road bridges were “washed away” amid torrential rains.

Avanti West Coast – which operates services between London Euston and Glasgow, where the climate conference begins on Sunday – said Network Rail had imposed a series of speed limits at several locations for safety.
