Recovering! Brittany Cartwright posted a new photo with her mom, Sherri Cartwright, on Monday, July 27, with an update on her health.
“Doctor appointments with mom! She’s doing great, “the Vanderpump rules star, 31, wrote via her Instagram story on Monday about a selfie of her and her mom, both wearing masks.
The update comes more than a month after Sherri was placed in intensive care due to complications from bladder surgery.
“Please keep my beautiful mother in your prayers,” the reality star wrote on social media on June 12. Her publicist confirmed Us weekly when Brittany was ‘out of control and asked for prayers’ after a planned operation, things didn’t go as planned.
“She plans to go to Kentucky next week to be with her mother – getting visitors to the hospital is complicated due to COVID-19, which has been very difficult for Brittany and her family,” the statement revealed.
The family’s pastor, Ryan Dotson, revealed on Instagram on June 18 that Sheri was “ out of the ICU, in a room and getting better every day. ”
While Brittany argued about her mother’s health, she was also charged with former costar Faith Stowers. The challenge alum, 31, claimed that Brittany had racially blemished her after hearing that Stowers was in contact with her now husband, Jax Taylor.
“Brittany is overwhelmed,” said a source Us weekly exclusive on June 14. “Her mother is in the hospital, in intensive care, which is more important than anything. Imagine dealing with that and fighting responses that call her a racist when she isn’t? ‘
On June 5, Brittany insisted that Stowers “know I don’t have a racist bone in my body” and denied the comments.
“She’s hit from all angles. This week has been a lot for her. But her only focus has shifted to her mother, “the insider continued. “That is undoubtedly her top priority and everything she is doing to focus her energy. Her mother is her world and she is very concerned. She is also blessed with a strong support system on her side. Jax has his flaws, but when it comes to the Brittany rock, he hasn’t faltered. He is there unconditionally and warmly for her, just like her best friends. She knows she is loved and supported as she navigates through this really tough time. ”
The battle of Brittany comes on the heels of Bravo who cuts the ties with Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni as a result of racially insensitive remarks from the past that reappeared during Black Lives Matter protests.
Additionally, Stowers claimed that Schroeder, 32, and Doute, 37, called the police while on the show for a crime she hadn’t committed. The fired reality stars have since apologized for their comments and treatment of Stowers.
