125 firefighters have extinguished a “significant” blaze at a large factory in Sparkhill, Birmingham which was broke out on Thursday evening.
The fire service has been at the scene of the blaze overnight working tirelessly after crews were called at around 11 pm.
In under four minutes, firefighters arrived at the scene and set about evacuating 40 houses in the vicinity, with 10 people needing to be rehoused.
West Midlands Fire Service will be at the scene for the rest of the day dampening down the factory and ensuring the fire does not restart.
In a video captured in the Pentos Drive area, huge plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the ground, and photos shared by the fire service showed severe damage to a building.
