ITV bosses are reportedly set to bring back Big Brother’s sister show Bit On The Side when the beloved reality series returns next year.

Formerly known as Big Mouth and Big Brother’s Little Brother – the series has been reported to return, albeit under a different name.

Big Brother’s return was finally confirmed by ITV earlier this month after weeks of speculation, and the show returned to screens in 2023, five years after it was discontinued by Channel 5.

A source said to The sun: ‘ITV knows it’s not just the main show that gets fans talking, and the Big Brother spin-off has always been a viewer favorite.

It has been the springboard for some great careers over the years, and its irreverent content and style make for great television.

It’s still early days, but with the main show’s comeback, everything looks positive for Big Brother’s sister to return as well. What it will be called remains to be seen, but expect a bloodbath.’

MailOnline has reached out to an ITV representative for comment.

This morning, Dermot O’Leary co-hosted ‘Big Brother’s Little Brother’ with Natalie Casey in 2002.

Russell Brand hosted Big Brother’s Big Mouth, with the likes of Jack Whitehall, James Corden and Davina McCall – who hosted the main show during its broadcast on Channel 4 from 2000 to 2010 – all intervening occasionally.

More recently, Rylan Clark hosted Big Brother’s Bit on the Side after taking over from Emma Willis, who hosted the main show on Channel 5 until it ended in 2018.

ITV has yet to announce who will be hosting Big Brother in 2023.

A cast of carefully selected housemates from all walks of life will take up residence in Britain’s most famous television home for up to six weeks, with cameras capturing every move.

The house is given a contemporary new look for the reinvention of the iconic series.

It is hoped that the audience will be captivated as the contestants take part in entertaining tasks, thrilling nominations and live evictions.

The fate of the housemates is once again in the hands of the British public who votes throughout the series and ultimately decides who will take home a huge cash prize and be crowned the winner.
