Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has possibly made the save of the season so far to avoid James Maddison’s free kick in his clash against Leicester.
The Gunners got off to a brilliant start to their trip to King Power Stadium, taking a 2-0 lead thanks to first-half goals from Gabriel and Emile Smith Rowe.
After a sloppy start, Leicester began to return to the game and received a free kick just outside the box when Ben White pushed Maddison to the ground.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale made an excellent save from James Maddison’s free kick.
Maddison, who hit a free kick straight to the wall early in the half, was much better with his second attempt to hit the ball sweetly into the top corner.
Ramsdale, who was on the other side of the goal, had to cross quickly and somehow managed to deflect the ball off the crossbar.
The ball bounced right in front of the line and Jonny Evans pounced on it and tried to flip the rebound, but the ball hit Ramsdale and then rolled in front of the goal line.
The ball bounced just in front of the line and Ramsdale had to get in the way of Jonny Evans, who then tried to get it home.

Thomas Partey was able to clear before another play by Leicester could get into the empty net.
The Leicester players couldn’t believe they hadn’t retired a goal with Brendan Rodgers almost celebrating thinking the ball was going to hit the back of the net.
Despite his son Kasper playing for opponents, goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel showed Ramsdale a great show of respect for his save from the free kick.
He tweeted, ‘Best save I’ve seen in years by Ramdale,’ with a series of clapping emojis. ‘
Schmeichel wasn’t the only soccer personality to express his amazement at Ramsdale’s save.
Alan Shearer tweeted: ‘Wow, what a salvation it is for Aaron Ramsdale.’
Arsenal legend Ian Wright added: ‘A certain man is deleting his tweets !!! Big Aaron Ramdale.
Another former Gunner Ray Parlor posted: ‘What a double saves Aaron Ramsdale. David Seaman would have been proud of them.
BT Sport experts Emile Heskey and Martin Keown also praised Sheffield United’s summer signing for their save.
Heskey, who played for Leicester, said: ‘It’s a fantastic save and to be fair it has been brilliant. His distribution has been outstanding, but this is what you get from Maddison, a wonderful free kick. ‘
Former gunner Keown added: ‘You talk about building reputation. You want to look over your shoulder and see that you have a suitable goalkeeper and you can say that about him today.
