AMC theaters, including Webster location, may not survive

The world’s largest cinema chain warns that it could fall victim to the coronavirus pandemic

AMC theaters say it has “significant doubt” that it may continue to exist in its current state.

The theater chain says it currently has enough money to reopen this summer or later, but otherwise it is not certain.

At the moment, the company says it doesn’t actually make any money.

AMC admits that even if the restrictions were lifted, the company would still face problems.

For example, studios don’t release many new movies at the moment, so there isn’t much appeal to going to the movies.

There is one AMC in the Rochester area, in Webster on Empire Boulevard.
