A new LED face mask that claims to treat skin problems like pigmentation, acne and wrinkles is launched in Aldi — and it resembles high-end brands costing over $600.
The Illumia Skin light therapy face mask will go on sale across Australia from Wednesday, October 27, through the supermarket’s online store for $249.
The beauty gadget offers a non-invasive cosmetic treatment using infrared technology to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, reduce acne and prevent breakouts, improve uneven skin tone and promote collagen production.
The budget model is lower in price than CurrentBody’s $630 LED light therapy facial mask, which is considered one of the must-have beauty buys on the market.
But if you’ve had your eye on a hi-tech face mask but have been reluctant to spend a small fortune, the cheaper version is worth checking out.

Shoppers have shared their excitement on social media, with one beauty therapist saying light therapy masks are “great” for treating a variety of skin problems.
‘I have an expensive brand and the wavelengths are the same,’ another shopper claimed, while another said, ‘The Peppy Co only has three modes, this one has eight, and the wavelengths are comparable to the high-end ones that cost more than $550.”
Many said they couldn’t wait to get their hands on the gadget, with one saying, ‘I’ll definitely get one. From what I have read and researched, this product is the same as the Aduro product available in the market.”
An Aduro Australia LED face mask costs $499.

Aldi’s version is designed to help promote healthy-looking skin and refresh the skin’s appearance.
The light triggers natural chemical reactions in the skin cells that help rejuvenate and heal the skin.
With a choice of seven different colors plus infrared, you can tailor your treatments to the targeted action you want.
