Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got heated with Matt LaFleur when he appeared to yell at the Green Bay head coach during their overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Rodgers eventually led a 55-yard drive in overtime to set up Mason Crosby’s game-winning field goal to see the Packers overwhelm the Cowboys in a 31-28 victory and snap their five-game losing streak.

It had been a tight contest for Green Bay, though, and Rodgers had thrown an incomplete pass on third down in the closing moments of regulation.

The reigning MVP threw the ball away to stop the clock and failed to get a first down to continue the drive to try to break a 28-28 tie late in the fourth quarter.

He could then be seen expressing his frustrations with LaFleur as cameras caught him yelling at the head coach as he walked toward the sideline.

When asked after the game what he had been so upset about, Rodgers replied: ‘Just every single play call, probably.

‘I feel like we were about 30 yards from the end of the game in regulation and also felt like it was two minutes so I would call them,

‘I was in a pretty good rhythm, obviously didn’t have a ton of tries tonight but felt like I was in a pretty good rhythm. I felt like I threw the ball almost exactly where I wanted to tonight. And then I would have a chance to win the match.’

After the win, LaFleur admitted that his indecisiveness had played a role in the Packers’ frustrations.

“Indecisiveness entered my mind, probably way too much,” he said after the play in the critical failed series that forced the Packers to punt.

‘A lot of time when we get into those situations, we give Aaron a lot of freedom to run the show. And typically he does a great job with it.’

But despite the gaffe, the Packers went on to pick up their first win in six games thanks to Rodgers’ three touchdown throws and clutch drive.

Green Bay (4-6) appeared well on its way to losing six straight games in the same season for the first time since 1988, trailing 28-14 in the fourth quarter before Rodgers led two long drives that ended with scores to Christian Watson .

Despite his frustration with his current manager, Rodgers had high praise for his former boss Mike McCarthy.

This was the first time Rodgers and McCarthy faced each other since the coach was fired after the 2018 season, when the Packers finished 6-9-1 and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season, and the two shared a hug before 1 p.m. the game.

“You can’t write the story of my career without Mike McCarthy,” Rodgers said after the game.

‘I am so very grateful for the role he played in my life. I am so grateful to have his friendship. And to be able to be on the other side of this and still have so much love and respect for each other.’
