Eddie Howe has signed a new long-term contract with Newcastle.

The 44-year-old manager took charge of the Magpies in November 2021 and helped keep the club 14 points away from relegation, finishing the season 11th.

Eddie Howe told the club website: ‘It is a great feeling to commit my future to this incredible club. I am extremely proud to be Newcastle United’s head coach and have loved every moment here.

Impressive sporting director Ashworth, Howe was voted Manager of the Month in February for leading Newcastle to an unbeaten win.
